I. BEFORE THE AUCTION
How can I take part in the online auction?
By correctly completing and submitting the online registration form under the menu item “Register”. You will then receive a confirmation link from us by e‑mail, which you activate by clicking on it — and you are ready to go.
I have already registered. Can I use this account for further auctions?
Yes, if you already have an account for our Schockemöhle online auctions, simply enter your access data in the login.
I have forgotten my password.
No problem! Enter your e‑mail address in the login and then click on “Can’t access my account” and follow the online process to retrieve your password.
Can I bid without registering?
No, this is not possible. You must have an activated account to participate in the auction. Register here.
Will anyone know my real name when I bid?
Data protection is very important to us. That is why nobody can see your data or your name when you bid. Only we as the organizer know who is behind the bids so that we can contact you if you win. Under no circumstances will your data be passed on to third parties.
Where can I find out about the health status of the auction horses?
All riding horses have undergone thorough clinical and radiographic examinations by specialist veterinarians. The relevant examination reports and x‑rays are available on the auction website. You can also contact the vets concerned.
Who can I contact if I have questions about the auction horses?
Please contact us by telephone during business hours, send an e‑mail to our office (info@schockemoehle.com) or use the contact form on this website.
Can I inspect the auction horses in person?

II. During the auction
Can I place a maximum bid without it being immediately visible?
No, the bid entered is immediately visible and real. The next bidder must then place a higher bid.
When does the auction end?
The start and end of the auction are precisely specified in connection with each auction. Once the end date and time have been reached, the auction for catalog number 1 ends on time, the auction for catalog number 2 ends 5 minutes later — and so on.
What happens if the time is almost up and I don’t have enough time to place another bid?
The end of the auction is automatically extended by 5 minutes for each horse after the last bid. For example: The auction for catalog number 1 ends at 3.00 pm. If a bid is placed at 2.59 pm, the auction for catalog number 1 is extended by 5 minutes to 3.04 pm. However, this postponement of the end of the auction for catalog number 1 has no influence on the end of the auction for catalog number 2 at 3:05 pm.
When will I know if I was the last bidder?
You will be informed by e‑mail immediately after the end of the auction for each horse.
III. After the auction
How do I pay for the horse?
Our office will contact you immediately after the auction regarding the invoice and payment. The bidder will receive the invoice with the knock-down price plus commission fee (6%) and VAT.
What happens to the horse after the auction and who bears the risk?
Upon conclusion of the purchase contract, the risk is transferred to the buyer in accordance with § 446 BGB, even if the horse initially remains in our care.
You must collect the auctioned horse within a period of 2 weeks after the purchase against payment of the purchase price or against advance payment at the same time at the place of the event. Please contact us by telephone during business hours to arrange an appointment, send an e‑mail to info@schockemoehle.com or use the contact form on this website. Until then, we will look after and care for your new horse free of charge.
